Who am I doing this for?

Whose life are you living?

Is it for you?

Your parents?

Grandparents?

Family?

Teacher?

Children?

Social narratives?

Business expectations?

Coworkers?

Friends?

People you don’t even know?

I invite you to notice the actions and ways of being you are choosing in each moment.

Often we’ve been taught to follow a specific path based on someone else’s perception of how we should be doing this magnificent thing called life.

But, whose life are you truly living?

Why do you dress the way you do?

Why did you choose the career you’re in?

Who told you that doing that with your business was THE way?

Do you listen to what you body actually wants or are you following what someone said to do?

Are you following the trends or are you letting your freak flag fly because it feels good to YOU?

Keep asking yourself - who am I doing this for?

As you dig deep, you may find that there are parts of you that desperately want to be loved, liked, belong, seen, chosen…those parts probably have exceptional ways of adjusting yourself to whatever you perceive will create the desired effect.

And, at what cost?

While they may not be listening to what you truly want, remember they are doing the best they can too.

You may be happily choosing to live your life in service of someone else.  If that’s your choice then choose it wholeheartedly, knowing the power of your intention and impact.

Asking this question isn’t about just living life for yourself, it’s about noticing the course of actions you’re choosing and how they invite you into deeper relationship with yourself or draw you further away from your center.

With awareness comes choice.
